Versions and Portofio Modeler

The help file says that I can use versions with the
portfolio modeler.

I am trying to use the Portfolio Modeler to compare
versions but the only the published project appears under
Select the projects to include in this model. Is there
something special I have to do show the different version
here?

I have created the three versions and saved them
successfully. I am able to use the compare versions add
in on them.

Also, if anyone could give me advice on creating custom
reports based on the different version that would be
helpful.
