When I copy and paste a chart from Excel with vertical
text at bottom of chart,(dates), to Powerpoint, the text
is not legible. It looks fine and prints fine in Excel.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Dave,
Works fine for me in Office 2003. Are you possibly in PPT XP?
Check the scale of the image (Right click on the pasted chart and
select Format Picture and click the Size tab and check the measures
under scale. Make sure it is scaled at 100% Height and Width.
