View sort order is lost when exporting as html page

Using Project 2003, I did a "Save As ..." to a html file. The problem is that
the resulting html file doesn't retain the sort order of the View. I couldn't
see where to control this in the Export wizard.

Hi Joel,

The project is sorted by ID. If you wish to export the project file with
another sort order, sort the Project (Project > Sort > Sort by...) specify
the field to sort by and choose the option for permanently renumber tasks.
When you export again, you should see the order you specified.
**Note: I would only do this on a copy of the file unless you want to see
the project sorted permanently this way.

When I go to the sort dialog, "Permanently renumber tasks" is gray.

Hi Joel,

In the Sort dialog box, click in the checkbox for "Keep outline structure"
to enable and then the Permanently renumber tasks check box should be
available.

Thanks Julie. Seems like if my View has a filter even if I click "Keep
outline structure", "Permanently renumber tasks" remains grayed out.

I would like to follow up on this discussion thread.. I tried to export to
html but I am having problems.

The view is sort, group by with filter. Can someone please provide the
specific steps to export to html. I geatly apprecate it.
