viewing folders

Is there a way to change the view of email folders,
universally - across all folders, instead of having to
open view and commands to change each one?

I don't know why but the view of my folders changed. The
from field disappeared, auto preview came on and preview
pane was switched off. Now each time I open an existing
folder I have to change the view.

Please help.

go to View, current view, customize, define views and modify the view by
name, not 'current view'. This will apply to all folders using the same
view.

if you start outlook using the /cleanviews switch before making changes it
deletes all custom views and insures that any one-offed views are removed
too.
