Visio Newbie

Thomas Grassi

I just installed Visio 2000 SP2 on my Dell Laptop running Windows XP Home
SP2. When I run Visio 2000 I get these errors in my event log over and over
again:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1015
Date: 7/11/2006
Time: 7:05:05 PM
User: TGKW001\Thomas R Grassi Jr
Computer: TGKW001
Description:
Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401F0

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Does anyone have any idea on this?

I know I have an outdated product but it works for what I need. I was
running it on a Windows 2000 Pro workstation before that computer went down.

Thanks

Tom

It sounds to me like you don't have enough memory to run the program on your
system. Failure to connect to the server, also sounds like you are using
dialup. You may want to consider a fast system altogether. Try elimintaing
programs you don't use on a regular basis to free up some memory. As you need
those programs you can reinstall them.

Best of Luck!
