Weird behaviour from Word.

I'm having weird behaviour from Word.
I open a document.
Two windows will be opened.
One will be the document itself.
The other will be a blank document, with the entire document copied in.
(i.e. if I try to close this document, it will ask if I want to save.)

This is proving to a BIG nuisance and inconvenience.

I'm sure it must be some setting...
But what!?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't understand what's going on from what you're saying, but you can try
