Weird! Cannot copy & paste Pub to Pub but others, okay

I have a user that cannot copy text from a Publisher document to a Publisher
document but can copy and paste from Word to Publisher, the Internet to
Publisher, etc. We have tried creating a new text box and placing the cursor
there before pasting, tried pasting into an existing text box, tried pasting
without a text box. We tried copying from an existing Publisher document
into a new Pub doc as well as an existing; also tried copying from a new Pub
doc to an existing Pub doc as well as a new one. Other users can do this and
this user could until very recently. Does anyone know if any MS-Office
Security Updates could have caused this weirdness? Or have any suggestions,
fixes or workarounds? Thank you.

Are both Publisher documents the same version? You cannot paste from 2002-03 to
2000.

What happens when you use the Office Clipboard (from Edit)?

Could be your temporary files need to be cleared.

Same exact version, same PC, same author. Publisher 2000.

Everyone else in her Office that uses Publisher is not having this problem.

Could this be related to any Office updates? I had a new problem with a
"Publisher cannot complete the operation" message and, according to another
user, she uninstalled and started reinstalling and found out one of the more
recent Office updates caused the problem. Since this user was able to copy
and paste with no problems before, I was wondering if the updates may be the
culprit here, too.

How does one clear temporary files? This user has Shut Down as well as
Restarted her computer which "should" have cleared temporary files. Where
and what should I look for?

You'll get a warning every time you paste, but you'll be able to paste.

Sue A. and Mary Sauer--was this problem ever resolved? I've been using
Publisher 2003 heavily for two years now and this same problem just cropped
up on me this week (April 2007)--I cannot copy from any other source and
paste it into my Publisher document. I have to click on Edit, then on
Clipboard and then on the copied text from the dropdown menu within
Clipboard--obviously very frustrating--a task that was formerly one step is
now three or more--if I don't close clipboard out and re-open it, the pasted
section doesn't even show up in it. There must have been some update that
Microsoft downloaded that created this problem. Is anyone working on getting
it resolved? Thank you. Sue
