Ah, i bet you pressed the X to stop recording by mistake and closed it :)

to get it back, once you start recording again choose view / toolbars & stop
recording and it will come back again

Tools>Customize>Toolbars. Select "Stop Recording" toolbar>Close

Stop Recording Toolbar should now be visible on sheet.

Hit "X" to close it(but not while you are recording).

It will pop up next time you use recorder. Do not close the "Stop
Recording" toolbar via "X" while recorder is running or you will lose it
again.

Hi Gord,

I had to start a recording session as Julia suggested to
see that tool bar in the menu, but once I did....Yep,
there it is again.

I must have closed it with the X last time I used
it...will try not to make that mistake again.

Thanks Gord,

Don

Hi Julia,

Thanks for the reply. You were right on. I must have
closed it with the X last time I used it. But, following
your guide, it's back where it belongs.

Thanks much,
Have a great weekend,

Don

Hi Don

glad it's back in place now ...

i reckon closing the macro recorder with the X is the most common mistake
that people make in Excel ... :)

one way to avoid doing it again is to "dock" the toolbar ...drag it up next
to your other toolbars at the top of the screen and then you can't see the
X.

Cheers
