Where is my email? - Outlook for Office 2003

K

Kirk Anderson

I have installed outlook and it was working fine, then all
of a sudden I stopped receiving emails. I have outlook
set up for a POP account. When I do a send and receive,
outlook indicated that I am receiving x number of emails
but none show up in my inbox.
I have done the following:
1) Validated the data file to which my mail is being
delivered. (a no brainer since I only have one personal
file)
2) Ensured that there we no filters applied to my view.

Where could my email be going? Please help!

Try a new profile and import the data (a pst file). There maybe damage to the pst which holds all the outlook data, try running scanpst.exe(search for this file)

Do NOT import data... Use file->Open to access the .pst file.

I tried Jon's suggestion and that did not help.
I deleted the old profile (which was the only one) and
recreated a new one.
Before I tried to import data, I did a send and receive,
which indicated that I had 9 new emails.
After the send/receive was done, my inbox was still empty.

I tried Milly's suggestion and I tried SCANPST.
While SCANPST did find and correct an Inbox error, the
result was still the same. An Empty Inbox - even though
outlook said it was downloading messages.
I'm at a loss. Do I need to try an uninstall and
reinstall? I really do not want to do that if I don't
have to!
