Why can't I open/save a document on a flpooy disk?

I don't know why I can't save or open a document on a floppy disk. Is there
anything you can do to help me?

Floppy disks should NEVER be used to save directly to, or open directly from
(as you are finding out)! Save the file to your hard drive first, then copy
it over to a floppy using Windows Explorer (or My Computer).
