Why does calender view show task bar as a line?

I am trying to get my tasks on the calender view, but some of them are shown
as a long line and if there is a second task on the same day, it shows up on
an extra page. Please help!

Hi Maria,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

The long line is prbably a summary task. If you don't want them, then set
them as blank via Format/Bar Stlyes...
