Why does my pc power off when I am using Publisher 2000?

Everytime I try to use Publisher 2000 my Laptop abruptly powers off. It only
happens when I use Publisher for some reason. Any ideas?

This is almost certainly a coincidence.
Are you on battery or mains power when this occurs?

Do you get an error message?

I thought it was a coincidence also. Except it only happens when using
Publisher and not at all ever when I am not working in Publisher. I am on ac
power when this happens and have a full charged battery installed... I did
do the repair install option last night and have not used it yet since then.
I will post after I use it.

Publisher 2000 looks for a printer driver, do you have a printer installed on your
laptop?

Well... It did it again after I did the repair...

Yes I do have a printer.... I have a Canon MP390 attached via USB.

What version Windows are you using?
You might try updating your printer driver.

I am running XP Pro SR2....

Will remove and reinstall my printer driver to see if that works. Will let
you know...

I removed my Printer Driver and reinstalled and NO GO.... I removed the
installation of Publisher and am going to reinstall tonight. Will let you
know.
