Why does Word Freeze up my computer?

Why does Word Freeze up my computer? This just started happening? XP Pro
Office 2000. It takes a few minutes in Word, before this happens. It usually
is while I try to save the doc.

I didn't think Word could freeze up XP Pro?

Thanks for the info....

Word is not really crashing... The computer is freezing up! How can Word do
that on XP Pro?

So what do you do when it freezes? You crash it.?
XP Pro is no guarantee against the interference of hardware problems, third
party software or file corruption against 'freezing'.

Good news! I fixed the problem. I went into CMOS & changed the memory
timings.
