Why is my Microsoft Word keep on freezing?

[Word freezing]

I can't open up my Microsoft Word. Whenever I try to open it up it will
freeze and i then I will see 1/4 of the desktop icons on the top. I
uninstall and re-install the Office Suite and it won't fix the problem. I
removed them from the registry edit after I removed the office suite and
still acting up. I did Office Update also and will not resolve the issue.
The rest of my Office Suite is okay, I don't have any problem at all. I
don't know what kind of bug does my Word has. I will appreciate any help
that I can get. Thanks.

Try renaming normal.dot -- if that is corrupt you get problem such as you
describe, and reinstalling won't fix it.
