Why is my Outlook crashing when I send or receive email?

Treese

For the past 3 days, my Outlook has been crashing to desktop when I send or
receive email. It just gives me a message that there is a problem, no
specifics, and asks if I want to send a report. Then it says there is alarge
file that needs to be sent and it will take a while to send it. I send the
report and try again. It still crashes to desktop. I have no known viruses or
trojans. I sweep for these everyday. All my Windows and Outlook are up to
date.

What version of Outlook? Have you run Detect and Repair? How about
scanpst.exe?

Thanks for asking but I finally figured it out. I was closing a lot of
programs to play an online game. When I did it fouled up my Outlook email.
Once I discovered this I was able to correct it and haven't had a problem
since except when I forget to reload those program files.
Thanks again.

i am having a similar problem, but we've run pst fix, ost fix, repair,
uninstall reinstall outlook, new ost, new outlook profile. The client is fine
if she logs on to another machine, but fails locally. My logon to her machine
is fine, so it has to be associated with her(granted the 1.5 pst file needed
to be addressed, we did) Last step is going to be breakaway from those pst's
and see, but i really dont want to have to go through those files one by one.
MS info on message was "there is no further information about this error"
