Why is out look 2007 scynchronizing files all the time jamming up

Why is out look 2007 synchronizing files all the time jamming up, the only
way to unfreeze the pc is to start task manager and delete.I am running
windows vista

Is this a new problem?
Or have you just upgraded or migrated an existing Outlook installation?
Your polling interval (auto send receive) is not less than 10 mins?
Do you have anti virus intergrated with outlook? If that is the case
uninstall the AV and retest

Yes i have avg antivirus , i will uninstall.

is it actually 'jamming up' or just showing the syncing icon in the tray?
There is a bug in one update that makes it look like outlook is continually
updating but it shouldn't cause problems to the point of 'jamming' outlook
or the server.

also, you shouldn't check for new mail any more frequently than 8 -10 min.

I thought an update fixed it - make sure you have all the latest updates
installed. If not, it should be fixed in an upcoming update.
