Why is Standard showing up in Add/Remove after a Pro upgrade?

Hi, Tony,

Pro is not an upgrade to Standard; some people call it a cross-grade. If
you want to remove all vestiges of Standard, then use the Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it. You don't mention what version of
Office, but you may need the original Standard CDs to do the uninstall.

Ok, so I installed 2003 Pro over an install of 2003 Standard. Standard
remains in the Add/Remove list. When I chose to remove Standard, it does
remove it, but then it returns shortly after. Do you know why? All the
About info states that it is part of Pro edition.

Hm...No idea why that entry would be coming back. I think that if all your
programs are running well, I'd not worry about it. If you really want to
clean up the installer information, you could try using the Windows
Installer Cleanup Utility to remove registry entries related to Standard,
then re-install Office 2003 Pro.

But that's a lot of work, if everything is running okay.
