Will reinstalling Office delete existing files in my documents?

I am unable to send or receive email using Outlook. I am connected to the
internet. I've thought of re-installing Office but aren't sure if it will
wipe out my files in My Documents. I have a Dell computer. Dell has
suggested it being a software issue. Can you help?

Reinstalling is normally a very last resort. What happens when you try to
send/receive? Are there any error messages and/or numbers? What version of
Outlook do you use? What type of mail account do you have? If you're using a
Dell, have you disabled the Cyberlink Add In to Outlook?

Reinstalling Office is unlikely to solve your issue, but it shouldn't delete
anything in My Documents.

Exactly what happens when you try to send or receive? What, if any, errors
are displayed? What is the exact text of those messages? What type of
account are you using? What version of Outlook? When you give no
diagnostic information, you'll find no one here can help.
