Windows Installer looking for ProMsi file

All our pc's are image based with win2k and office xp. I
tried to run a detect and repair. Now everytime I open a
Word or Excel file the windows installer runs and is
looking for the network path for PROMSI. The network path
is no longer there. How do I get around this.
