Windows installer starts when opening office xp

Hi,

I have a really annoying problem, everytime i open a office xp pro product e.g word, access... the windows installer starts up... does some processing and then closes once the app is open????

I have just removed and reinstalled the program to no avail.

How do i stop this? or even better why is it doing it??
