Believe me. There's not.
I have seen this error on more than one computer. It seems to be a windows
installer problem possibly linked to Symantec. But, I know I can get Outlook
2002 to totally uninstall and wonder if that is hanging me up. When it
happens and I look at cntl alt del, the active process IS the Outlook 2002.
How can I get a clean install?

There should be an application name in the title bar or something... this is
not the complete error message.
