Word 2003 format of saved doc lost on reopening.

In Word 2003 I save a formated document, but on opening it the format is lost. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

In the File Open dialog, change the "Files of type" setting from "Recover
Text from Any File" to "All Word Documents." This setting shouldn't be
"sticky," however. It was in Word 97 and 2000 but is not in Word 2002; I
hope it hasn't regressed in Word 2003!
