Word 2003 maximize screen too low

Yes, I did try the solution suggested by Marko. Again, it seems to fix
the problem until you fire up the editor in Outlook, then the maximise
in Word goes screwy again.

I fail to see how the type of computer would make any difference, but
for what it's worth, it's an HP desktop with an ATI Radeon Xpress
g/card.

I was trying to find a common denominator as this problem is rare. As it
turns out, the other computer is an HP Tablet (but I think that uses an
integrate GMA950 chip) so I don't see anything in common through the
graphics or graphics driver. I'm sorry but I still have no idea what is
causing this weird bug. It has to be something really weird and unexpected!

Has there been an update from MS on what the cause of this may be, or
why it is a perceived compatability between Outlook and Word?

We have this issue on one (only one) PC. Its a Dell D600 laptop,
using single-monitor on a docking station. The fix has worked so far,
but I would like to know the cause before proceeding.

This worked until a reboot of the PC. The same issue is occurring
again.

What happens if you connect the external monitor directly to the laptop
(i.e. removing the docking station from the equation)?

I tried this solution and unfortunately it did not fix the problem. Have any
other solutions been identified?

I'm having the same issue. Computer is Compaq/HP nc 8430 with a
docking station, but no external monitor. Running win XP, SP2, Office
2003. Has there been any progress on finding a permanent fix?
