Word 2003

Viewing documents with images and equations is fine in Word 97-2002 but if I
open the document in Word 2003 images/equations are seen as blank squares
with a small red cross in. I've tried reducing the hardware acceleration on
the display properties but the situation is still the same. Recreating the
documents in Word 2003 is not an option. Does anyone have any ideas on how to
solve?
Thanks in advance

It's possible that Equation Editor is not installed in your copy
of Word 2003. In Word 2003, if you click on Insert | Object |
Create New tab, is Equation Editor 3.0 listed as an object type?
If not, then you need to install the Equation Editor feature
from your Word/Office 2003 CD.
