Word and Excel can't open files after SP3

Installed SP3 on Office2000SR-1-premium. After that Word
and Excel both show "the file is not available" for all
the files, even the file just saved.

Does anybody know how to fix it?

One of my clients has 10 machines, of the 10 4 have this
problem now after running the online office update. What
was interesting was SP3 was already installed, but office
update stated that SP3 needed to be installed. Repair
and reinstall did not fix this so I am now in the process
of doing a reinstal of all office products. They are a
user running SBS-2000, Office Pro 2000, and Outlook XP
that was sent out with patches for SBS-2000. The
machines were all 98se with all patches installed. Looks
like yet another critical "fix" that causes more problems
than it fixes. Also on these 4 machines they all
compleated the download but stopped before starting to
update the files. Just enough to break them, the
customer is so pleased with microsoft.
