Word changes my dates around.

I have a document where when I type the date "1 march 2006", Word changes
the text to "1 march 2006-05-09".

It seems to happen only with existing mail-merge documents and only when we
type 2006 as the year.

On the Insert menu, select Autotext and autotext on the flyout menu. Uncheck
the box Show Autocomplete suggestions. Does this solve your problem?

You can use the Undo keys / command (Ctrl-Z) to undo this or try typing a
space after the "2006" before pressing Return.
