Word, Excel, and Powerpoint crash when the programs are launching

I have uninstalled Office. Updated it to 10.1.2. Reinstalled Office.

They all begin to open - it gets to 'Optimizing font menu performance'
and then - CRASH.

Entourage is still running just fine.

I am boggled.

You also need to download the new updates, which are 10.1.4 and 10.1.5.

However, applying those probably won't fix your problem. The symptoms you
mention mean that you probably have a corrupt font on your system. See this
