Has anyone else gotten this? I can't find it anywhere in the KB. I have
Word 2000 although that may not matter. Every other time I double-click a
Word document in Windows Explorer it pops up where the window's title bar is
above the screen. That is, the menu bar with File, Edit, View, etc.. is at
the very top of the viewable portion of my monitor. I actually can only see
the bottom half of the menu bar also. But then if I Alt+F4 and then reopen
the doc it is positioned correctly. Do this again and it is wrong again.
Hence it happens every other time I open a Word document.
On top of this I am getting this problem intermittently with other Windows
apps. It happens with Excel, Paint, and even an independent Windows
application that my company writes. And I know that we don't screw around
with the position of the window like that. It's as if the OS is keeping
delta's in the background for size and position on every program and they
started out wrong from the beginning. (It also is sizing the app to flow off
the bottom of the page every other time)
This is obviously not critical but has been bugging me for years now. Can't
Windows even get something like this right or at least fix it in a patch?
