WORD Problem

If there is a newsgroup just for WORD97, please point me to it.

Using WORD 97, it won't show me all the folders available, even though
I've asked to see "all files". I start with "FILE" and "OPEN", then
select the "C" drive and so forth. I get to "My Documents" and it
doesn't list all the folders within My Documents. So there are many
files there that are not accessible. I don't get it!
Is there a patch I should have?

Hi Dan,

You may not be able to see all the foldrrs in the initial window, especially if some of the folders or files have long names. Try
scrolling across to the right.

I can scroll to the right and see files, but the folders are listed
first in the upper left, and only some of the folders are listed.
At the bottom for file types, I specified "all files", so I thought it
should show me everything. However, I just tried specifying "word
documents" instead of "all files" and it now shows me the missing folders.
I don't know why, but at least I can get to them now.

Do you see the folders when you look for them outside Word?

Could they have been marked as hidden?
