word saved documents

i cannot open any file that i saved. it kepts on saying
not available. i change from microsoft office xp to
microsoft office 2003. everytime i close word it kepts on
popping that normal.dot changed. do you want to save
changes. i do not know anything about normal.dot
any help????

If you are running Norton Antivirus, disable the Office Plugin that
comes with it.
