Word status bar - not set to come on as default - how do I set th.

When I start Word the status bar does not show. I need to go into tools -->
options --> show --> status bar and check the box. I would prefer this to be
set as a default - any ideas?

If your Word settings are not being saved, it may be that you need to
rebuild the Word Data key in the Registry (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissngMenusEtc.htm), or it could be, if
you are on a corporate network, that network-wide settings are being
enforced at startup.
