word vs. word processor

I have Works Suite installed on my computer running XP. I also have Word 2003. What is the difference between the two applications? Is one app superior in function or more user friendly than the other?

If you have Works Suite, then the word processor may well be some version of
Word (Word comes with Works Suite), but it won't be later than Word 2002
(which comes with Works Suite 2004). Word 2003 is therefore a later version
than the one you have with Works Suite.

The Works suite also has its own wordprocessor WksWp.exe, which may or may
not be linked to the start menu when installed with the Word option. The
Works wordprocessor is a simple word processor, but for basic work is no
easier to learn than the basic functions of Word.
