Word97 Page numbering question

Zilbandy

I have a document that contains three sections. I want to include page
numbers in the footer in the second section only. I've figured out how
to start page numbering at '1' in the center section of the document,
but I have not figured out how to suppress the footers in the first
and third sections. Any suggestions? Again, I'm using Word97.
Upgrading to a newer version is not an option.

Hi Zilbandy - Click in view, header/footer go to section 2 footer,
switch the Same as Previous off. There is an icon on the Header/Footer
toolbar which you can use to do this. Then scroll down to section 3
footer and do the same. In the Secion One and Section Three footers,
delete the page number.

Thanks, Lynn. It worked fine.
