Run all the Office2004 Updater's. At some point, a converter system is installed
that allows you open xlsx format files.

Install the Converter from Mactopia downloads:

or if linewrap's a problem

Also, make sure that you've updated Office to 11.5.3

For one thing, that's not Microsoft's (nor Office's) job...

Happy New Year! But with your volume of experience here you know that there
is nowhere near enough info in your message for anyone to have a clue as to
what the problem may be.

What's your version level of Office?

Do you have the OXML Converters installed? - Can you open other .xlsx files?

How are you attempting to open the file? What *does* happen when you try?

Does the file have a .xlsx extension or are you just taking it for granted
that's what it is?

How was it "sent" to you? Is it downloaded to your local HD or stored on
some web mail server?

Don't presume that anyone here knows *anything* about your circumstances.

As Cybertaz said:

because even if we did happen to remember you, we are all old and senile (at
least most of us) and forget your exact configuration. And, you probably did
not email us or post to tell us you changed it. (And, if you did, we surely
forgot or deleted it.)
