xp sp1 error message

I am trying to install xp sp1. I am getting an error
message that tells me that a file is missing
from "PT1BC.TMP"

I have tried to edit this file but I get another error
that says I am out of F A R Memory.

I need to know how to fix the .tmp file, or how to fix
the F A R Memory so I can edit the file.
