Aauto-numbering of bulltes when catalog merging from word?

When using bullets in a word table then using Catalog Merge the bullet points
from Word are automatically numbered by Publisher. Have change Bullet
settings and Auto Text bullet settings. Any ideas

Are you using the Word table as your data base? Can you not add the bullets in
the merge field in Publisher manually?
