Access DB with Outlook Contacts

I

Isidore

I have an Access database that I use to track submissions of my plays
to theatres, producers, agents, etc. My tables include:

Properties (the plays)
Theaters etc. (where the plays are submitted)
Submissions (date and other details of the actual submission).

There is also a table for Contacts (i.e., the individual any given
submission was sent to), but it is unwieldy because in our industry,
individuals move around a lot and frequently work for more than one
company at the same time.

It would be much better, I think (and much less redundant), if instead
having a table in my Access database for contacts I could simply link
any given submission to a Contact's record in Outlook. The only
solution I've been able to come up with on my own is to link to
Outlook's Contacts table. That doesn't exactly do what I need it to
do because it doesn't include all of the fields I need (esp. the notes
field), and doesn't always update the OUtlook record.

What I'd love to be able to do is something on the order of having a
button on the submission form that says "This contact", which when
clicked on opens his Outlook record (better still, a hyperlink, in
case there's more than one contact).

A wrinkle: I'd also like to be able to run a query that would list
everything I've submitted to a particular contact, no matter where
s/he was working at the time.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Isidore
