Add multiple people onto one task

There is a task has to be done with in a fixed time. When I created the task,
the duration is 2 weeks. However once I assign two people to it, it will
prolong to 4 weeks. How can I make it show as 2 weeks on the Gantt chart?

And also sometimes after I created a task, somehow a constraint such as "No
earlier than" was generated and I have trouble to remove it. I changed it to
"ASAP" but it managed to changed back by itself. How could that happen?

Change the task type to fixed duration.
There are only three ways to create constraints such as "No Earlier Than..."
1. A keyed a date
2. The constraint was specifically set
3. Item 1 or 2 happened as the result of a macro or other programming.
