adding background graphics

Hello: I sure hope someone can help me out here. I have
used FrontPage for many years. I recently updated my
computer. When I tried to use FrontPage to build a new
page for my website I ran into a problem. I clicked on
'Format' and then background and browsed to my background
graphic and clicked ok, but the background does not
appear on the page in the 'normal' setting. Only when I
click on 'preview' can you see what I added to the page.
So, you can't build a page unless you can see what you're
doing; at least I can't. Apparantly I have clicked a
wrong button somewhere? Perhaps in Theme or Properties or
the like. Can anyone please help me? I am stumped. Thank

Make sure you have the compatibility set to Custom in Page options.
