Whenever I open a new document in word I get this
dialog, "The create adobe PDF monitor cannot be
found." "Please reinstall create adobe PDF." I have
already reinstalled adobe reader 5.0. I've unchecked adode
PDF in customizing the toolbar. How can I turn that
annoying dialog off? Please help!

Look in Word's Startup folder or the Office Startup folder for an add-in
(.dot file) with a name that refers to Adobe or PDF. This add-in was
provided with early versions of Acrobat Reader and does not work with
current versions of Word; to create PDFs from Word now you have to have the
full Acrobat product.
