Assignment Reports

When I run a "Who Does What" report, tasks are grouped and displayed but no
resource names are included above the task groupings. When I run a "To-Do
List" report and select a resource name from the drop down, I receive the
error "No Data for You to Print."

The Resource Usage view does show all resources in the project with their
task assignments and allocated time.

The only change I am making in the standard assignment reports is to change
the time scale from days to months, which is more appropriate for my project.

I'm probably overlooking something simple, but can anyone suggest what might
be going wrong?

Hi Elaine,

Are you working in a resource pool file? The To-Do List report is a task
report and a Resource Pool file has no tasks, just resources and assignment
data.

To print a To-Do List report for tasks assigned to resources from the pool,
you'll need to open the Resource Pool file with the third option "Open
resource pool read-write and all other sharer files into a new master
project file....."

Then print the To-Do List report from the master project file.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I am not working in a resource pool. Upon closer inspection, I do have
resource names listed with the appropriate tasks on the "To-Do" list. But I
still receive the "No Data for You to Print" error when I try to run the "Who
Does What" report.

I am selecting the resource name from the drop down provided. I have tried
most of the resource names with the same result.

I found the problem. I had to expand the view to all tasks before requesting
the report. I knew it was something easy!
