auto schedule

I am new to project, and have a basic question.
Lets say I have 3 tasks:
T1 - 10hrs - assigned to Person1
T2 - 8hrs - assigned to Person1
T3 - 16hrs - assigned to Person1

once this is entered into project, is there a way to auto schedule out the
gantt chart.
so that no more than 8 hrs is scheduled for Person1 on any day.
In other words, auto move the tasks so that T1 is first then T2, then T3?

thanks in advance

Project will do it ... but only after you "tell" it that T3 follows T2
which follows T1. You do this by specifing the correct successors (or
predecessors ... your choice as to which way to look at it.

I urge you to read and successors and predecessors in the Help. That
will be better than any explanation that we can re-write here.

Also experiment how the "chain-link" icon works.

What scheduling behavior are you looking for here? Is it that you want
Project only to schedule work up to 8 hours per day so that the 10 hour task
will Go for 8 hours, say, on Monday and 2 hours on Tuesday, or do are you
looking at the *order* the tasks are done, with the shortest task coming
first, the next longer task starting as soon as the first is done, and then
the longest task in turn, with each task beginning as soon as the previous
one is finished and work only happening 8 hours a day? Project does both of
these easily but the specific answer to your question depends on what it is
you're looking for.
