Automatically sizing graphics

I *know* (!) this is possible because I've done it before. I can't remember
how I did it (it was just some key combination) so perhaps some clever
person can help?

How do you automatically size a picture to fit within the margins of an A4
page?

I am updating a manual I produced some years ago. It contains a lot of
screen shots. I just used the Alt+ print screen thing then dumped them into
Word. They needed a bit of cropping round the edges, then I did my magic
re-size thing so the picture filled the page and lined up nicely with the
text. I cannot for the life of me remember how to do this.

Please don't say use SnagIT because I haven't got that program. I'm afraid
I'm stuck with Word. I also don't want to get into dragging handles because
all my pics will end up not quite the right size!

Any help?!?

Pictures that are larger than margin width are automatically constrained to
margin width upon insertion, but I don't know of any way to make them
automatically expand to fit it after you've cropped them. The only way I can
think of is to go to Format | Picture | Size and set the width to the margin
width.

Once you've done this with one, you might be able to format others with F4.

Oh well, it was worth a try. I'll give your method a go at work tomorrow.
I'm sure it's probably just as quick providing the proportions of the
picture remain the same and it doesn't end up all squashed! I just can't
remember what I did a couple of years ago but I did find a nifty way to deal
with loads of pics and the result was really good. Old age doesn't come
alone ...
