Baseline Work issues

This is really weird,

Baseline work shows a certain value in the default project details view, but
it shows a different value in a custom view. It's almost like the values for
the custom views are pulled from a different place.

Also, when baselining a project, baselines are at the task level only? there
is no more general project baseline? Issu is a s follows: project is
initially baselined, later on other tasks are added to the project, so now
the project shows as not baselined, and when you look at the tasks, the
original ones are baselined, the new ones are not... but overall indicator
for the project should be baselined, because that's what it started with, all
the new tasks are changes, and should not affect the initial baseline.

Any help much appreciated.

Which version of Project are we discussing?
You'll have to be more specific on the baselines showing up differently in
custom vs detailed views.

For your second point, the file contains non-baselined work so it shows as
not baselined.

It's 2007.

The whole ideea of baselining is to take a snapshot at the beginning of a
project. Any changes after that, even adding new tasks, should not change the
fact that the project was initially baselined at the beginning. 2003 used to
work like that, and that is the expected behavior for any PM.

Also, total accumulated values, like Baseline Work, Work Variance, and Work
are accumulated on a per-project total, but in a view these values come back
as 0.

I am trying to create a cumulative view showing all projects that meet a
certain condition (let's say that are baselined), and show those values as
well as other. On the projects that are baselined all comes back ok, on the
other projects that have added new tasks and do not show as baselined
anymore, if I remove the filtering and brind them in the view, those
calculated values come as 0, which is not the value displayed in Project Pro
or the Project Details view.
