booklet to single page

Somehow the page setup for this document has gotten messed
up. It's a booklet printing landscape on legal-size paper.
I need to create a pdf in single-page format, but every
time I try to set up the document for this format and
Print Preview, I get a half-legal size layout on a legal
(or letter) layout. We used to be able to distill the pdf
and get only the size of the half-legal page.

I'm obviously experiencing a brain fart. Can somebody walk
me through this please? Thanks.
