Breaking a task down into it's sub tasks

Hi,

When I was first introduced to Microsoft Project, I’m sure someone showed me
a chart in which, when you clicked on an individual task, you were taken
through to another chart showing the steps of that particular task.

I’m putting together a process chart and timeline for an online newsletter.
There are two things I want to do but don’t know how to do:

1. When I click on the “translation†block in the chart, I want that to take
me through to a second chart showing me the stages of the translation process
itself
2. I want to make a stage in the translation chart the predecessor of a
stage in the main newsletter chart

Can I do either of these: and if so, can anyone tell me how?

Any and all help much appreciated.

Thanks

Karl

Hi,

Not another "chart" but the detail on the same chart
Below the main task enter al te detailed tasks and their dependencies
Select all the detailed tasks and indent them (green arroow on the toolbar)
Youu'l discover the + and - signe yourself :)
For the dependency: yes, no problem.
