calendar color coding issue

I have 7 tasks with each having about 5-10 subtasks. I like to assign each
one of those a different color in a calendar view. I came to a conclusion
that can not be done. Only way for the colors to be changed in the calander
view is through their task type(noncritical, critical, milestone,
summary,etc.) How can i assign a task type to a different task.

Hi Zack,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You can't, as these are calculated by Project. However, you could use Flag
fields for each of the set of sub-tasks and filter on those so that only one
set of tasks shows.
