Calendar colour in Gantt Chart

Gavin

I work for a company that has a production change freeze period every month.
I want to change the colour of those freeze days in the Gantt Chart calendar
so I can easily see them when scheduling tasks. I can use the Change Work
Time feature make them nondefault worktime but this does not appear to be
reflected in the Gantt chart calendar. I do not want to make these days
nonworking time as project tasks can still continue but only no production
implementations may take place during these times. Any ideas?

Hi Gavin,

A work around that may accomplish what I believe you are looking for:
create a calendar with the "freeze days" as non-working time. Then display
the new calendar as the background of the Gantt chart view by clicking your
secondary mouse button in the background of the Gantt chart and choosing
"Nonworking time...". The scheduling of tasks will not be affected by the
new calendar, but you can show the "freeze days" graphically.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
