1 is thereaway to show all the tasks for a single resource in the calander
view
2 if you have a task that will last 2 months but you will only work on it 1
or 2 days a week is there a way to have it show that you are working on it 18
days and not 45 days

Hello again,

1) You can filter the calendar view to show only tasks for a
selected resource. In the Formatting Toolbar use the filter
drop-down (usually says All Tasks) and select the filter Using
Resource...

2) You are confusing Duration and Work. The duration or span of the
task from Start date to Finished Date is 2 months. During that two
months the work is 18 days or 144 hours (work is usually expressed
in hours). You can modify the text shown on the task bar in the
calendar view to display Work.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I finally got some more time to work on this , I have another question
what is the reason that in the resource usage view why does it post h in red
sometimes ( some times if I put 8h it turns red but 7h not ,and I have one
employee that does four tens is there a way to make his tens not be red also.

Hello,

The red font in the Resource Usage view or the Resource sheet means
the resource is overallocated. Project marks a resource as
overallocated when the total assignment units for a resource exceed
his/her maximum units. If you have resources who work ten hour
days, you'll need to change the resource's calendar to allow for 10
hour days.

Take a read in Help on overallocation for some additional
information and let us know if you have any further questions.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
