Can I print from publisher onto A3 Paper?

Yes, provided your printer can handle it.

paper from Publisher.

File, page setup, printer and paper tab, click the printer properties button. If
A3 isn't listed as a choice create a custom size, type 11.69 (29.693cm) inches
for width, 16.533 for height (41.995cm).

Actually, if you're entering in metric, use 29.7cm by 42.0cm.

(You can enter measurements in cm even when Publisher is set to use inches,
simply add the "cm" after the number.)

Metric sizes round to the nearest millimetre, the imperial versions are
approximations of the metric versions.

I was unclear. Under the standard definition of the ISO paper sizes, they
are in the ratio 1 to the square root of 2, and each is rounded off to the
nearest millimetre. If you enter more decimal places in Publisher, it will
accept them, but the standard size of A3 is a whole number of millimetres in
height and width.
